Men’s Volleyball Get Roughed Up on the Road

Posted on: Jan 25, 2016

The Thunder Men's Volleyball team had a tough weekend against an excellent – and nationally ranked – Keyano Huskies team. On Friday, the team's 'bus legs' got the best of them as the Thunder went down in straight sets 25-13, 25-20 and 25-13 in a match that lasted less than an hour. Saturday afternoon's match up started off the same as Friday but the guys pulled it together to win set 3 and almost pulled out a 4th set victory as well which would have set up the Thunder for their second win of the season. However it was no to be and Concordia went down to defeat 3-1 (25-14, 25-18, 24-26 and 25-23). "The fight the guys showed at the end on Saturday was a good sign that this team is taking steps in the right direction," stated Head Coach Lucas Jacobson. "Even if they are small steps, we are still progressing which is positive. We will prepare for Kings on Friday and Saturday this weekend and look towards playing spoiler to other team's playoff chances the rest of the year."
The home match against the Kings Eagles goes Friday night at the RKAC.
