Join us for the Alberta Cleantech Innovation Fair

McNeil Centre for Applied Renewable Energy at Concordia University of Edmonton invites you to join us for the Alberta Cleantech Innovation Fair on January 21, 2022. 

What is the Alberta Cleantech Innovation Fair?

Cleantech, typically defined as technologies that aim to improve environmental sustainability, plays an important role in our future. It’s crucial to our economic recovery and Canada’s goal to achieve net-zero status by 2050.

Alberta Cleantech Innovation Fair is a platform to showcase our province’s strength in cleantech innovation. From industry to investors, this fair will engage prominent sector members and organizations in assessing the activities, targets, innovations and resources from all areas and levels of our community to outline the past, present and future of our province’s cleantech sector.

The Alberta Cleantech Innovation Fair welcomes more than 15 guest speakers from various industries and backgrounds, and more than 150 community members currently working in the cleantech sector.

When is the Alberta Cleantech Innovation Fair happening?

The event will be held virtually on January 21, 2022, 9 a.m.-5.p.m.

What should I expect?

The Alberta Cleantech Innovation Fair is a forum for exploring activities that help us work toward and achieve the Government of Canada’s goal of net-zero emissions by 2050. It will also give attendees the opportunity to learn about available technologies and the challenges in the industry, and explore entrepreneurship with a clear vision of its potential and how they can possibly contribute to the economic development in Edmonton and Alberta and allow for our province to remain ahead of the curve in the cleantech sector.

Who should attend?

Are you looking to scale up your idea? Are you looking for an investor but don’t know what they’re looking for? Curious and want to learn about the cleantech industry? Want to showcase your technology and get your name out there?

Students, professionals and everyone in between who share a concern for and interest in the state of our cleantech industry are welcome and encouraged to attend the Alberta Cleantech Innovation Fair.

The Alberta Cleantech Innovation Fair is expected to engage more than 15 SMEs from several subsectors of the cleantech industry: energy, agriculture, chemicals, and more, and will bring together 150-plus community members from the following key sectors:
