Finance Update: New Project Accounts For Professional Development.Posted on: Sep 24, 2020
The Finance department has slightly changed the process of Professional Development accounts. With our new upgrade to Financial Edge NXT there is a more efficient and effective way to keep track of expenses.
- We will no longer be using GL accounts for individual PD accounts but instead will be transitioning to Project Codes.
- The PD project code will be your 6-digit employee ID number and used to track your PD expenses. If your employee ID is 3 digits, lead with 3 zeroes (e.g 000123), if you employee ID is 4 digits, lead with 2 zeroes (e.g 001234).
- When submitting claims for PD you will reference your PD project code and a universal corresponding GL account.

Also, with our upgrade to Financial Edge NXT individuals will be granted access to view their Project PD accounts to see details including expenses and remaining balances.
The Finance office is in the process of rolling out access to everyone with a PD project account but in the meantime we ask that you please familiarize yourself with the new process by watching the training video linked below. The training video will also be available on Alfresco under the Finance folder.
