Talk Description:  AI-Powered Social Engineering and How to Defend Against It

Artificial intelligence is rapidly advancing, enabling cybercriminals to launch highly sophisticated social engineering attacks using tools like deepfake technology, synthetic voice generation, and natural language processing. These techniques make impersonation, phishing, and fraud more convincing and difficult to detect.

This session explores how artificial intelligence is transforming the social engineering threat landscape, highlighting real-world attack scenarios and emerging trends. It also provides practical strategies for defense, including strengthening identity verification processes, enhancing user awareness and training, implementing behavior-based threat detection, and adopting a trust-no-one approach. Organizations must evolve their security posture to prioritize human-centric and artificial intelligence-resilient defenses in order to stay ahead of these complex threats.
