InfoSec Seminar – December 2024
The Information Systems Security and Assurance Management (ISSAM) Department at Mihalcheon School of Management invites you to the InfoSec Seminar on Wednesday, December 4th, 2024, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM MT. The seminar is open to anyone interested in security research and technologies, including those outside Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE). The session will be held online via Google Meet ( https://meet.google.com/byv-epjk-foj).
The featured speaker is Shazeen Ahmed, a privacy professional at BMW Group, with expertise in privacy programs, data protection, risk management, and compliance. Her talk, “Privacy & Cybersecurity: A Symbiotic Relationship,” will delve into the complex intersection between cybersecurity and privacy, exploring their shared goals, interdependencies, and potential conflicts. This session provides valuable insights for those navigating the evolving landscape of digital security and privacy protection.
