Concordia professor of Political Science, Dr. Elizabeth Smythe, recently coedited a special issue of Globalizations with local and international colleagues Claudia Baumgart-Ochse, Peace Research Institute Frankfurt; Katharina Glaab, Norwegian University of Life Sciences; and Peter J. Smith, Athabasca University. The issue is entitled Faith in Justice? The Role of Religion in Struggles for Global Justice. Dr. Smythe and Dr. Smith also co-wrote one of the issue’s articles, entitled Faith Groups and Justice: A Source of Solidarity or Division in the Global Justice Movement? The World Social Forum and Occupy Wall Street as Case Studies. Globalizations “is dedicated to opening the widest possible space for discussion of alternatives to narrow understandings of global processes and conditions” and is widely read by scholars in the field of international relation.
Congratulations, Dr. Smythe, on this timely and very important publication.
