Disappointing Loss Moves Thunder Men’s Basketball to 4-3

Posted on: Nov 25, 2013

The Thunder took on the Lethbridge Kodiaks this past Friday night at the RKAC.  Unable to match the runs by the Kodiaks throughout the game the Thunder would fall by a score of 78-59 dropping out of 1st in the North Division. “(It was) a disappointing effort,” stated Coach Wood.  “We allowed ourselves to be outworked all night.  I can live with a loss where we play hard but tonight that was not the case.  We need to fix these problems and quickly.”  Dallas Wright led the Thunder with 16 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals.  Jamaal Bucknor saw his streak of double doubles come to end registering 9 rebounds to go along with 13 points.  Dave Shantz tallied 11 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.
The Thunder now faces a crucial 2 game set versus the Lakeland Rustlers to close out first semester play.  Thursday the Thunder will travel to Lloydminster with the return match taking place at the RKAC Saturday night.  Both games are an 8 PM starts.
