CUE establishes memorial fund for Shaughn O’Brien

Concordia University of Edmonton has created a new fund in memory of a CUE student who passed away in tragic circumstances during this past academic year. For those who knew Shaughn O’Brien, and who wish to make a donation, please contribute a gift to the following fund:
The “Bench in honour of Shaughn O’Brien” fund.
To date we have received $3500 in support of this fund which will pay for a ‘yellow bench’ (dedicated to Shaughn as place for students to discuss mental health issues) that will be placed on our campus. Your donation will also help CUE expand successful mental health programs, pilot some new ones, provide services to help students directly to make positive mental health choices, and identify those in distress.
Philanthropy helps to ensure that all CUE students get the support they need to succeed and reach their potential.
