DID YOU KNOW?

• The cost of groceries has risen by 10.8 percent in the past year?
• The hardest hit are international students who may not have access to financial aid or the ability to rely on family?
• Approximately 40 percent of post-secondary students in Canada are food insecure?  That is FOUR TIMES higher than the general Canadian population.

Food insecurity is a major public health issue that not only impacts physical health, but mental health and wellbeing too.  CUE Cupboard provides students with basic food necessities as well as essential items that are crucial to a healthy lifestyle.  Students can access the CUE Cupboard (www.cuecupboard.com) and choose the items they wish to receive after filling out an application.  There are also links to other resources both on and off campus, as well as recipe ideas and cooking tips.

We anticipate that the CUE Cupboard is only going to get busier as the school year progresses.  If you have the ability, monetary donations would be gratefully accepted.  Every little bit helps!
