Concordia University College acknowledges closure of CHS
University classes begin September 5

Monday, August 20, 2012 – (Edmonton) Concordia University College of Alberta wishes to clarify that it its classes begin on Wednesday, September 5th, 2012. This is to reduce confusion between Concordia University College and the closure of Concordia High School. While the two institutions have historical ties, Concordia High School has been an independent high school for over a decade.

Concordia University College President, Dr. Gerald Krispin issued the follow statement:

“Concordia University College of Alberta is a totally separate institution which is now in its 26th year of granting university degrees. And university classes will be starting, as per usual, in early September.”

While the two institutions have historically shared the same campus, Concordia University College is located in Edmonton Highlands on Ada Blvd., while Concordia High School has been operating out of the former Taylor campus in south Edmonton.
