Cake and Coffee to celebrate Canadian Library Workers Day!
Posted on: Oct 20, 2016Celebrate Canadian Library Workers Day! The library invites all campus faculty, staff, and students for cake and coffee in the Library Gallery at 2:30 pm, Friday, October 21!
As stated by the co-chairs of the Canadian Federation of Library Associations Donna Bourne-Tyson & Paul Takala:
Great libraries can be about great collections or great buildings but in the 21st century they’re also about great people. Without library workers libraries simply cannot function. Libraries rely on their staff to provide service to their communities and to help their libraries and communities grow. The vital contribution of library workers to libraries and communities across our country deserves national recognition.
Please join us to celebrate the vital contributions of all Canadian Library Workers and, more specifically, those of the amazing library workers here at Concordia!
