Banged Up Thunder Hockey Team Drop Two to UAA

Posted on: Nov 3, 2014

On Friday night, a goal with 7 minutes left broke a tie and gave the University of Alberta-Augustana Vikings a lead they wouldn't give up. After giving up 2 late empty net goals, the Thunder came out on the short end of a 4 to 1 loss. Veteran Goaltender Rhys Hadfield stopped 48 shots in the loss and made numerous big saves to keep the Thunder in the game.
Saturday night in Camrose saw the Thunder struggle in both the defensive and offensive sides of the puck, dropping a 9 to 1 decision to the Vikings. The Thunder have a bye week coming up and look to get healthy and back on track in two weeks when Briercrest comes to Glengarry.
