About Dave Damer
Dave currently leads the business development and commercialization activities of the Centre for Applied Artificial Intelligence at Concordia University of Edmonton.
A computer engineer by training and proven tech entrepreneur with over 28 years of business leadership experience, Dave has spent 19 years in building successful startups. In 2017, Dave founded Testfire Labs, a software company that uses machine learning and artificial intelligence to build productivity solutions that modernize the way people work, so they can achieve more, faster.
Dave’s companies have been the recipients of a number of awards for innovation and technology. Additionally, he has worked with enterprise organizations such as IBM, Bell Canada, and Sprint in both business consulting and leadership roles.
About IT Seminar Speaker Series:
The speaker series aims to introduce CUE students and other interested individuals to emerging topics in IT, professional issues and responsibilities, employability skills, and careers in IT-related areas.
The seminars are held on the last Friday of every month
from 4:00 pm – 4:50 pm.
