Thunder Hockey Wrap Up Pre- Season Play

This weekend the Concordia Thunder Men's Hockey team dropped a pair of closely contested exhibition games vs the Keyano Huskies. On Saturday, goals by Nathan Smith and Ryley Rimmer had the Thunder up by a goal late but the Huskies power play was able to provide some late offence for a 5 to 2 win. On Sunday, the Thunder dropped a tight 6 to 5 game. Colin Minardi scored his first 2 ACAC goals and Tyler Stevenson scored the first shorthanded goal of the season for the Thunder.
The ACAC regular season starts on Friday as the Thunder will play the first of a 2 game home against those very same Huskies. The season opener goes at 8:15 PM on Friday, September 26 and the Saturday matinee engagement will see the puck drop at 4:30 PM. Both game go at Glengarry Arena.
