Tseide Krekelberg, President

Hi Everyone, my name is Tseide Krekelberg and I am the President of the Concordia Alumni Association. I recently graduated with a Master of Information Systems Security Management (MISSM) degree at Concordia University of Edmonton.

I am originally from the Netherlands; my journey at CUE began with a dual degree in Drama and English during my undergraduate years, where I discovered a passion for organizing and community building.

Serving as Vice President of Student Life for the Concordia Student Association (CSA) during my undergraduate years, I orchestrated numerous campus events, refining my leadership and interpersonal skills. Intrigued by the intersection of IT and management, I transitioned to the MISSM program, driven by a desire to excel in cybersecurity. Despite an unconventional undergraduate background, I was determined to leave a lasting impact in the cybersecurity realm and academia.

As an advocate for lifelong learning and community engagement, I am committed to fostering connections and making a positive difference. Now, as President of the Concordia Alumni Association, I aim to create more relationships and resources for graduate students, facilitating their continued involvement with Concordia.

Drawing on my past experiences with the Concordia Students’ Association, I look forward to collaborating with former CUE students to enhance the environment for current students and encourage ongoing engagement post-graduation. Christian Potolicki, Vice President

Hi, my name is Christian Potolicki, and I am the Vice President of the Concordia Alumni Association.

During my time as a student, I had the privilege of serving in multiple roles on campus. These positions included CSA Faculty of Management Representative, CMU President, and Team Lead of the CUE Peer Support Program. 

Since graduating from the Dual Degrees Program – Bachelor of Management & Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, I have earned my Professional Chemist (P.Chem) designation, and currently work as a senior lab analyst at an industrial hygiene and indoor air quality service lab in Edmonton called Eurofins Enviro-Works.

In my free time you can often find me doing something sports-related, whether it’s watching hockey, baseball, or basketball, or playing ball hockey.

I look forward to doing my part to help CUE and its vast network of proud alumni stay connected for years to come.

Mayrane Galante, Vice President Finance

Hi there! My name is Mayrane Galante and I am the VP Finance for the Concordia Alumni Association (CAA). I am both a proud alum and a current student at Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE). I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology – Applied Emphasis
Program in 2022. That same year, I started my Doctoral in Clinical Psychology at CUE, and I am currently in my third year of the program.

Originally from Brazil, I moved to Canada in 2018, and CUE has been an integral part of my journey ever since. During my time at CUE, I had the privilege of serving as Vice President of Academic Affairs for the Concordia Students’ Association (CSA), where I gained invaluable experience advocating for students and navigating university processes. I was also editor-in-chief of The Bolt and Team Lead for the Peer Support program, contributing to initiatives ranging from grant applications to student coaching and support. More recently, I worked as a Clinical Trainee at the CUE Psychology Clinic (CUEPC), where I had the opportunity to support the student body with psychological services.

My commitment to the CUE community runs deep. Coming from a psychology background, I truly believe in the power of connection and the profound impact a supportive environment can have on individuals. I have seen firsthand how guidance and encouragement can help people thrive, and I am excited to put that understanding and experience into practice as I continue to serve this community in new ways.

Brandon Kaiser, Vice President Alumni Relations and Engagement

My name is Brandon Kaiser, and I am the Vice President of Alumni Relations and Engagement for the Concordia Alumni Association (CAA). I graduated from Concordia University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Management Degree, majoring in marketing and minoring in English.

As a student, I was actively involved in leadership roles, serving as the VP of Marketing (2019-2020) and President (2020-2022) of the Concordia Management Union. These experiences instilled in me an appreciation for the Concordia community motivating me to stay actively involved with it.

Professionally, I have worked at M Consulting as the firm’s Office Manager and currently serve as the Marketing Coordinator for ZerOne, a Hockey Training Facility and Sports Performance Clinic. This fall, I will begin law school at the University of Alberta, where I am eager to delve into legal studies, and build a solid foundation in law. As the new Vice President of Alumni Relations and Engagement, I am excited to contribute to the growth and development of the CAA, and to celebrate the successes of Concordia University and its alumni.

Becca Firlotte, Member at Large

Hi, my name is Becca Firlotte and I am a Member-At-Large for the Concordia Alumni Association. I’m originally from Northern Ontario but moved to Edmonton in 2009 to begin the Bachelor of Arts program majoring in Music with a minor in History. I joined the Concordia Concert Choir and found my passion for choral singing. I spent the next four years honing my abilities and found a passion for musical theatre. 

During my time at Concordia I wrote for the Bolt, was a scorekeeper/announcer for the hockey team, served as a proctor, covered breaks for the secretary in the registrar’s office, and held the position of disciplinary officer for the student union. 

Since my time at Concordia, I have participated in various theatre productions in Edmonton on and off stage and continue to sing and play music with my 4 year old daughter. As a single parent, I have used many connections within the Concordia community to find various work and volunteer positions in Edmonton that work with my family dynamic. 

I’m excited to lend my abilities and skills to the Concordia Alumni Association to build and grow our network as well as the opportunity to highlight the many talents of our alumni!
