Thunder Hockey Unable to Taint NAIT’s Perfect RecordPosted on: Feb 22, 2016
This weekend the Thunder faced a huge challenge as they took on the undefeated NAIT Ooks. Friday night at home the Thunder honoured their graduating players before the first face off. Congratulations to Jordan Hoffman, Brett Richards, Filip Kejdana, Tyler Stevenson and Kegan Bowman on their pending graduation. The game itself however was a disappointment for the Thunder as they dropped an 8 to 1 decision to the Ooks.
On Saturday night at NAIT, the Thunder battled hard in enemy territory. Goals by Filip Kejdana, Brady Bakke, Aaron Petten and Phil Dillon kept the Thunder close but they eventually lost a 6 to 4 decision to the now 30 – 0 Ooks. The Thunder played hard in the loss and will take lessons from playing an experienced championship caliber team. Concordia will look to finish the year on a winning note when they visit Fort McMurray this weekend for a pair of games against the Keyano Huskies.
