Thunder Hockey Earn Split with Briercrest

This weekend the Thunder split a pair of games with the Briercrest Clippers. On Friday night the Thunder had plenty of chances to score but could not beat the Briercrest goaltender often enough and fell 5 to 2. Blake Boaz and Mike Wilson scored goals in the game for the Thunder. On Saturday night the Thunder earned a 5 to 3 win. Mike Wilson, playing his 100th ACAC game, scored 14 seconds into the 1st period to get things going for the Thunder. Thunder Captain Brett Richards had a huge night scoring 1 goal and adding 2 assists while Goaltender Rhys Hadfield stood tall and earned his 3rd victory of the year.
This weekend the Thunder face the NAIT Ooks in a home and home series beginning with a match up Friday night at Glengarry. With 4 games left before the December break the Thunder are playing their best hockey of the season and improving with every game.
