The Thunder Badminton Team just returned from competing in the 2015 Honolulu Open in Hawaii over the Christmas/New Year's break. They enjoyed some very nice weather and some great competition from some of the local players in Hawaii. Accompanying the Thunder on the trip were NAIT and King's College. The tournament gets the Thunder ready for the upcoming semester of ACAC Badminton competition. The Thunder had some great results at the tournament. Second year player Rachael Smillie won the Gold Medal in Women's Singles and then followed it up with a Gold Medal in Women's Doubles with team mate Lindsay Ross.
