Order of Canada honour for Allan Wachowich

Congratulations to CUE’s first Chancellor and new building namesake, Allan Wachowich, on being honoured with an Order of Canada!

The Honourable Allan Wachowich is a stalwart supporter and ambassador of CUE and believes deeply in the importance of education. He has a keen focus on empowering young adults to live out their potential and make their personal impact on the world. As Chancellor from 2013 to 2017, he was instrumental in moving the university towards inclusivity of all students, limiting barriers of entry, and providing a world-class education to all CUE’s students.

The Allan Wachowich Centre for Science, Research, and Innovation (“AWC”) officially opened on May 10, 2019. The AWC is a multi-faceted hub bringing together education, research, entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, indigenous knowledge, and psychological services.
