We’re excited to announce another step in our journey toward fostering a welcoming and accessible environment for Indigenous learners. From November 25, 2024 anyone self-identifying as First Nations, Inuit or Métis may apply for free to any of our programs.
Since 2018, we’ve significantly expanded our services for Indigenous students through our Indigenous Student Services Centre, now known as the kihêwak kâpimihâcik (where eagles fly). These efforts have resulted in meaningful growth with Indigenous students now representing 7.2% of our domestic student body and engagement with the kihêwak kâpimihâcik continuing to increase year on year.
While this is a somewhat small change, it’s an important one in our continued effort to remove barriers from Indigenous access to higher learning.
We welcome Indigenous students from across Canada to explore our diverse range of programs and join our vibrant and inclusive community.
