New Knowledge Synthesis Grant Competition: Shifting Dynamics of Privilege and Marginalization

Posted on: Sep 7, 2022

The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) has launched a Knowledge Synthesis Grants funding opportunity to assess the state of research knowledge on the topic of “The Shifting Dynamics of Privilege and Marginalization”, under SSHRC’s Imagining Canada’s Future initiative. Genome Canada has also joined SSHRC as a funding partner for this call and is seeking social sciences and humanities insights on issues related to genomics.

This call for proposals focuses on the state of research knowledge on issues related to increasing global uncertainty and social volatility, and potential significant and diverse transformations for Canada and the world. The resulting syntheses will help to identify roles that the academic, public, private, and not-for-profit sectors may play in promoting more inclusive communities, as well as to inform the development of effective tools, robust policies and sustainable practices required to support the transition to a more cohesive and just future.

The deadline for applications is December 15, 2022. For more information on the call for proposals, please contact: ksg-ssc@sshrc-crsh.gc.ca
