Micah Crowfoot Most Innovative Entrepreneur Award

The BMO-Centre for Innovation and Applied Research is pleased to share that CUE student, Micah Crowfoot, won second prize in the Most Promising Student Entrepreneur Award category at the Innovation Rodeo regional student pitch competition.

Micah is a 2nd-year BA Psychology student in CUE’s Faculty of Arts, founder of Caw & Crow Curios, and a graduate of the Innovation Launchpad @ CUE program. She will now pitch in the finals on Friday, July 10, 2020 to potentially win $17,500 in cash and one of three $12,000 US scholarships to Draper University’s Hero Training Program. The program is billed as Silicon Valley’s top entrepreneurship program. Micah is one of six finalists chosen to pitch at the finals from post-secondary institutions all across Alberta!

“Being an artist and a free spirit, I never imagined that entrepreneurship would be the thing to light my world on fire,” says Micah. “I am so grateful for this recognition and would not be here without the support I have received from Innovation Launchpad. I cannot wait to see where else this takes me!”

Her story is featured in the March edition of our BMO-CIAR newsletter.  Don’t forget to subscribe!

In addition to her success at Innovation Rodeo, Micah has won prizes at the landing page competition (run by 150 startups), Innovation Launchpad Showcase held virtually at CUE on June 15, 2020 and is progressing through lean startup challenges (run by 150 startups).

We wish you every success, Micah!
