Please consult these resources to prepare a Common CV. We have also prepared instructional videos on this new requirement, which you can download from Alfresco.

CUE Research schedules training workshops for the Common CV, most recently in early December, 2020. Keep an eye on Inside CUE for future workshops.

Applications & Guidelines

Please note that the ORS is unable to assist applicants in formatting applications to meet the guidelines.

Impact Grants

Impact Grants support knowledge mobilization activities that move research knowledge into outcomes and impact in academia and in the community. These funds support short-term, targeted KMb activities such as presentations at conferences, workshops, juried artistic exhibits, oral histories, interactive, digital and video technologies, commissioned reports, knowledge syntheses, and other forms of connecting and disseminating research knowledge.

Impact grants were suspended starting in the May 2020 competition, due to COVID-19. We have resumed this grant stream with some restrictions, which will remain in place until the COVID-19 pandemic has ended. Until further notice, Impact Grants are allowed only for activities that occur online. Applications that include travel or in-person activities will be removed from the competition.

Deadline: May 15th, 2021 at 11:59 pm.
Next opportunity to apply: October 1st, 2021

Seed Grants

Seed Grants provide funding for faculty research projects, particularly those that have the potential to lead to applications to external funding agencies. Grants awarded through this fund serve as seed funding to carry out essential developmental work that will be used in developing research programs and preparing applications for external funding opportunities. Seed Grants are intended to build and sustain a vibrant research culture at Concordia University of Edmonton and to develop and support research and innovation, and enhancing CUE competitiveness.

Deadline: May 15th, 2021 at 11:59 pm.
Next opportunity to apply: October 1st, 2021

CUE-NSE Grants

The CUE-NSE Grants provide funding for eligible faculty in the Natural Sciences and Engineering for research projects aimed at supporting the preparation of applications for NSERC Grants in the Discovery and Alliance Programs. Grants awarded through this stream serve as seed funding to carry out essential developmental work that will be used to generate research required for an application. Important notice: the continuance of this stream will depend on the number of applications received; if there is insufficient interest, the stream will be discontinued.
