Celebrating University Entrepreneurship – Pop up shops in Tegler!

Posted on: Nov 3, 2022

Launching a business can be a daunting task and an expensive one, too! Before investing time and money heavily into a business idea, it is important that businesses test the market need and genuinely understand their customer’s needs and wants. One cost-efficient way to do this is to host a public pop-up shop.

What is a Pop-up Shop?

Pop-up shops are an inexpensive alternative to permanent bricks and mortar shops that allow small and early stage businesses to test their ideas in the real world, get first-hand experience in the market, and connect with potential customers and users.

Innovation Launchpad @ CUE Pop-up Shop

After a successful in-person pop-up shop in Tegler in January 2020, the Innovation Launchpad Pop-up Shop is back! This year, we’re hosting a pop-up shop to celebrate university entrepreneurship to highlight the hard work and innovation at CUE and across the campuses in Edmonton. This pop-up shop is an opportunity for these business owners to connect with the campus community, spread awareness, test their assumptions, and ultimately to strengthen their business idea through conversations with booth visitors.
