Concordia reaching out for partnership in Bulgaria
Posted on: Jul 24, 2014Dr. Rossitza Marinova, Department of Mathematical and Computing Sciences of Concordia University College of Alberta, visited Varna Free University (VFU), Bulgaria, as guest and participant of the International Conference Informatics in the Scientific Knowledge – 2014 and the Master Class on Gamification and Crowdsourcing in the end June.
During her visit, Dr. Marinova explored opportunities for wide-range cooperation between the two universities. VFU is the largest and most renowned private university in Bulgaria founded in 1991. Ever since its foundation, providing high quality higher education, European orientation and Internationalization have been the cornerstone principles of the university.
In particular, VFU has extensive experience with offering programs and courses in Computer Science and there is a great potential for collaboration between the two institutions in this area, as pointed out the Head of the Department of Computer Science Dr. Galina Momcheva.
