Thunder Men’s Basketball Drop Two Up North
Posted on: Nov 24, 2014It was a disappointing ending to the first half of the season for the Thunder Men’s Basketball team as they dropped both contests this past weekend at Keyano. Friday night the Thunder fell 77-70 to the Huskies and suffered their worst loss of the season by a score of 86-58 on Saturday afternoon. Friday the Thunder were led by a career high 22 points from Nathaniel Wojcicki. Ryan Coleman added 18 points and 11 rebounds with Artez Scharer and Rob Haack scoring 13 and 10 respectively.
Saturday Ryan Coleman led the way with 18 points and 9 rebounds with Artez Scharer adding 15. “More than disappointing,” said Coach Reagan Wood after the weekend. “We wasted an important opportunity to put distance between ourselves and other teams in our division. The second half of the season is very interesting now; each and every game will have a big impact.” Thunder finish the first half of the season 7-5, currently 2nd in the ACAC North. Next action for the Thunder will be in Salt Lake City, Utah on December 19th & 20th at Westminster College with a stop in Butte, Montana to play Montana Tech on the 21st.
