2018 Canadian Summer Seminar (CSS) Has Begun
Posted on: Aug 14, 2018The 2018 Canadian Summer Seminar (CSS) for Public Health is now underway. 8 students from CUE’s international partner universities (Tohoku Fukushi University in Japan and Hong Kong Education University in China) participated in this year’s CSS. The students’ background in their home universities span from social welfare, public administration, psychology, to education. Ms. Yuka Shimizu, lecturer from Faculty of Comprehensive Welfare, and Chief staff in Center for International Academic Exchange from TFU came as a supervisor for TFU students.
Their time has been filled with lots of learning activities: variety of lectures in the topics of Public Health in the morning, English classes in the afternoon, and exploring Canadian culture with tasks and projects from the classes.
At the end of the seminar, students will understand the significance of key concepts in the Canadian Public health system including surveillance, effectiveness, laboratories and more.
