Posted on: Mar 28, 2022We are pleased to announce the onboarding of a new colleague, Kerri Severin. Kerri will fill in for Melissa Fortuin during her maternity leave.
Kerri is a registered psychologist who has experience working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, self-esteem/confidence, sexual orientation, gender or body dysmorphia, PTSD, work or school/life balance, and/or addictions. She works with her clients to manage stress and achieve balance, build confidence, coping skills, and learn emotional regulation.
She is a client-centred, culturally sensitive, trauma-informed counsellor who practices Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Grief Treatment, Existential, ERP, and Eye Movement Reprocessing Desensitization (EMDR). She believes in creating a warm and caring working relationship with clients.
She studied First Nations history and culture at University nuhelot’įne thaiyots’į nistameyimâkanak Blue Quills. She completed her practicum at The Family Centre and the Pride Centre Edmonton. Her goal is to help her clients feel understood and safe, while working on helping them reach their mental health goals.
