Update on the Dean of Graduate Studies role as of July 1, 2023

This year, Dr. Patrick Kamau is serving as the interim Dean of Graduate Studies in addition to his role as Dean of Science. I’d like to thank him for all his work and his willingness to step in and balance two leadership roles this year. As of July 1, 2023, Patrick will move into a full-time role as the Dean of Graduate Studies.
In addition to overseeing our graduate programs, Patrick will champion several of CUE’s priorities including work-integrated learning and micro-credentials. As CUE’s most senior dean, Patrick is well-positioned to lead many exciting new opportunities for us and I look forward to seeing how we evolve to better meet student needs in the coming months and years. Please join me in congratulating him on his new role.
We will soon begin the search for a new Dean of Science. Leaders International will lead the recruitment for this position, in addition to our current search for our new Dean of Education. We will keep the CUE community updated on the progress of these searches.
