Thunder Hockey Experiences the ‘Good, the Bad and the Ugly’ in Weekend Action

Posted on: Oct 7, 2013

To quote Thunder Head Coach Dan Peacocke, the venerable movie title "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly effectively sums up the hockey team's performance on the weekend."  Due to infrastructure problems with the arena on opening weekend, the Thunder hosted their first home game of the young season on Friday night where there was enough 'good' to get the team a gritty 4-3 win versus the rival MacEwan Griffins.  "Enough bad team play and a few ugly individual performances let MacEwan take the win on Saturday," lamented Peacocke.  "The team will now have plenty of time to lick their wounds and keep building on the positives from the weekend as their next action is not until October 18th when they take on the Red Deer College Kings."  The first game of the home and home series goes in Red Deer (Penhold) before returning home to Glengarry Arena on Saturday, October 19th.  The puck drops at 8:15 PM.
