Thunder Hockey Close Out Fall Semester Action with Northern TourPosted on: Dec 1, 2014
This weekend the Thunder Men's Hockey team concluded the first half of the season with a pair of hard fought losses to the Keyano Huskies in Fort McMurray. Friday the Thunder couldn't solve the Keyano goaltender and dropped a 3 to 0 decision. Joel Wilson started in goal for the Thunder and had a strong performance turning away 32 shots.
Saturday the Thunder battled back from an early 2 goal deficit to tie the game in the second period but could not hold off the Huskies in the third period and dropped the game 6 to 3. A highlight from the game was Alex Roihjert picking up his first ACAC goal. Chase Fallis had his strongest performance of the season picking up a goal and an assist and was named Player of the Game. The Thunder now enter the break looking ahead to January when they will return home to the newly renovated Clareview Arena and will continue to work hard to pick up points and push for a playoff position late into the season.
