Thunder Athletics UFest Parking Fundraiser

Posted on: May 25, 2022

Held at Borden Park (7507 Borden Park Road NW) May 27-28, UFest Edmonton Ukrainian Festival is a celebration of Ukrainian culture, food, music, visual arts, crafts and dance. This two-day event, which began in 2018, brings together people of Ukrainian heritage, as well as attracts audiences of many diverse cultures.

If you’re attending the event, park at Concordia University of Edmonton (7128 Ada Boulevard) where all parking proceeds support Thunder student-athlete scholarships and Ukrainian relief! Anyone attending CUE convocation on Saturday is also welcome to park on campus to support the cause.

All faculty, staff, and students who possess an annual parking pass will still be able to access the lot, the only difference is that your stall is not guaranteed to be available during the hours of operation throughout the 2 days. In the meantime you can park anywhere that is most convenient for you.

Parking Fee: $10

Friday: 5-11 pm
Saturday: 11 am – 10 pm

*Cash, Debit, and Credit accepted

Just as we did in previous years for K-days parking, all vehicles entering campus will be directed to the entrance at the south end of 73rd street, adjacent to the southwest corner of the soccer field. All vehicles leaving campus will be directed to exit from the access road that runs between the northwest corner of the soccer field and the Ralph King Athletic Centre. The establishment of this ‘one way’ routing is for everyone’s safety.

Thank you in advance to everyone for your cooperation.  Although it presents a minor inconvenience for 2 days, the money raised is sincerely appreciated by both the student-athletes and the Canada-Ukraine Foundation.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Nathaniel MacLellan (Director, Athletics & Recreation) at nathaniel.maclellan@concordia.ab.ca.

Thank you again for your patience and support.
