Awarded to a resident from the North Peace or Mackenzie Region in northern Alberta who is a high school graduate planning on attending post secondary or, is currently in the work force but will be attending post secondary to upgrade skills. The recipient must agree to obtain employment in the North Peace or Mackenzie Region for at least one year following graduation. Preference is given to students enrolled in studies leading towards working in local government.
