Annual awards ($2,000 per semester) designed to encourage Indigenous Albertans (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit) to pursue and complete post-secondary studies in certificate, diploma, applied degree, and bachelor’s degree programs. Eligible programs at Concordia University of Edmonton include Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Education After Degree, Bachelor of Environmental Health After Degree, Bachelor of Management and Dual Degrees in Science/Management. This award is made possible by funding from the Government of Alberta.
- To be eligible you must be Status Indian/First Nations, Non-Status Indian/First Nations, Métis or Inuit and be able to provide proof of Indigenous ancestry.
- You must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada and an Alberta resident.
- You must be enrolled in at least 60% of a full course load at CUE (if you are a student with a documented permanent disability, you can be eligible if you are enrolled in at least 40% of a full course load).
- You must be in satisfactory academic standing as determined by CUE.
- Preference will be given to students who are in their first year of study at Concordia, not receiving other awards totaling more than $1,000, not receiving sponsorship totaling more than $3,500, and have not previously received the award.
