Partnership Celebration & Tea Dance – March 23

Posted on: Mar 19, 2019

Over the past year, CUE has been developing its relationship with the Cold Lake First Nations (CLFN), with partnership and collaboration ideation as the basis of discussions. We are committed to act upon the recommendations of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s report, and to further develop initiatives, research, outreach and engagement with an Indigenous focus. We are devoted to building a good relationship with CLFN, and are exploring a variety of opportunities, such as Denesuline language classes at CUE.

To that end, we are delighted to be celebrating our relationship with the CLFN’s Chief and Council at a signing ceremony, followed by a Tea Dance on Saturday, March 23 in Tegler Student Centre.

Hosted by the CLFN, this is an important moment for both CLFN and CUE. This is the first Tea Dance in Edmonton, and the first Tea Dance for CLFN since the 1800’s!

Complimentary Soup & Bannock Dinner will be provided.
