Active Shooter Response Training

In K-12, students are taught lockdown as the only option when responding to an Active Shooter situation. But universities and colleges have a fundamentally different approach. Lockdown is one of the options; evacuate and take action are the other two. The three options offer a diversity of action that best meets your need in any situation.

Learn how to best respond in an Active Shooter situation at the upcoming Active Shooter Response Training session on October 27 from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. in HA 019.

This session is open to staff, faculty, and students. Registration is not required.

Concordia University of Edmonton takes the safety and security of its stakeholders seriously. Even though it is extremely unlikely that any of us will ever face such a tragedy, we are firmly committed to being prepared, so that if the unthinkable happens, anywhere, we all will have a better response.
