Concordia Concert Choir Extends Greetings to Universiade Athletes

The FISU World University Games in Chengdu kicked off last Friday on July 28, 2023. Following an early released Music Video done by Concordia Concert Choir students and Thunder athletic representatives, a second Music Video including Concordia Concert Choir students was released on the same day of the Opening Ceremony. Through this captivating music video, alumni Josiah Maxfield and current student Grace Samycia, showcased their artistic prowess while fostering cultural exchange and unity among the global academic community.

The World University Games, also known as the Universiade, are an esteemed multi-sport event that brings together student-athletes from universities all over the world. This year, the Games are being held in the vibrant city of Chengdu, China, attracting top-tier talent across various disciplines and fostering friendly competition and camaraderie among nations.

Recognizing the significance of this event in promoting friendship and understanding, Concordia University of Edmonton, an institution dedicated to academic excellence and cultural enrichment, decided to extend their warm greetings to the athletes through the universal language of music.
