Alberta Culture, Multiculturalism and Status of Women is happy to announce the new Leaders in Equality Award of Distinction (LEAD) Program to assist women and gender-diverse Albertans to pursue fulfilling careers. The program will provide more opportunities for under-represented Albertans to apply their talents in a wide range of pursuits – from science, technology and trades to the arts – helping to build the workforce of the future in Alberta.
The Leaders in Equality Award of Distinction (LEAD) Program is now accepting applications from students eager to make a difference in their communities.
The scholarship program consists of two funding streams:
- Women in STEM Award stream – open to women under 30 years of age pursuing studies in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, and;
- The Persons Case Scholarship stream – for anyone pursuing studies to advance gender equality.
The first intake deadline for the scholarship is February 21, 2021.
