Free Tai Chi Sword Class & Chinese Language Classes This Fall

Concordia’s Centre for Chinese Studies (CCS) will offer an English-taught Tai Chi Sword Class and three levels of Chinese Language Classes in 2018 Fall Semester:

1. Tai Chi Sword Class:

Time: Thursdays 4-5:00 PM, September 13 to December 13, 2018
Location: Tegler Student Centre
Invitees: ALL CUE students, faculty, staff and public learners.
Registration: Directly with Dr. Xinxin Fang (Xinxin.fang@concordia.ab.ca)
Course Fee:
(1) This class is free for CUE students, staff and faculty.

2. Chinese Language Classes for Public:

HSK Level 3 Chinese–
Students who take HSK Level 3 will be able to understand and learn language materials related to daily settings. They can use more complex sentence patterns to communicate on familiar topics through interactions and descriptions.

HSK Level 2 Chinese–
Students who take HSK Level 2 will be able to understand and master basic language materials related to common personal and daily life. They will master basic sentence structures, make simple sentences, provide simple descriptions, and exchange some basic information.

HSK Level 1 Chinese–
Students who take HSK Level 1 Chinese will be able to understand basic language materials related to common personal and daily life. They can retell, recite and copy words or sentences with fair accuracy and can write words or sentences following example.
