Federal Minister for Infrastructure and Communities Amarjeet Sohi visits CUEPosted on: Apr 13, 2018
This afternoon Federal Minister for Infrastructure and Communities, Hon. Amarjeet Sohi, visited CUE and toured our new Centre for Science, Research, and Innovation (CSRI). We were also joined by Board member Karen Hewitt and friend of Concordia, Dr. Prem Singmar.
The CSRI is a space that will attract some of the world’s best researchers to work alongside Concordia students and faculty to bring new industry-relevant ideas to fruition. Poised for a new era of success at Concordia, the CSRI will become Edmonton’s pre-eminent facility for combining quality education with community-relevant idea development. The impact of the Centre will extend into future generations of thinkers and innovators.
The Federal Government, through the Strategic Infrastructure Fund, has contributed approximately $6.5 million to the cost of the $16 million building.
Thank you, Minister Sohi, for your visit today.
