February is Black History Month

Posted on: Feb 14, 2022

In February, you can participate in a variety of workshops, performances and activities designed to engage, inspire and educate you about the ways Black Canadians have influenced our country’s culture and legacy. All are welcome!

Check out this resource list which focuses on the experiences of Black Canadians and includes topics such as identity, resistance and systemic racism as told through memoirs, essays, and historical accounts of Black Canadians.

Several interesting events are also available through MacEwan’s Office of Human Rights, Diversity and Equity. Find more details here!

Did you know CUE has a Black Students Association? They provide a student-led space dedicated to embracing, empowering, and cultivating black culture throughout CUE and execute this through events surrounding the topics of Career Development and Community Building. Get involved! Follow them on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/cue_bsa/ or email at: cbsa@student.concordia.ab.ca
