The final round of the Concordia Symphony Concerto Competition for Concordia Fellows will take place on Saturday, April 30 at 9:30 a.m. Our three finalists will compete for a chance to play as soloists with the orchestra in the 2022-2023 season. The winner will also receive a competition honorarium in the amount of $1,000, kindly donated by the Alberta Chinese Cultural Society.

The repertoire features Copland’s Concerto for Clarinet and String Orchestra (Amber Campbell), Prokofiev’s violin concerto no.1 (Allan Nelson), and Vaughan-Williams’ Oboe Concerto (Stephanie Wong).

The winner will be announced the same day. This event, held in Tegler, is free and open to the public.
