Dr Simmee Chung: Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award
Posted on: Apr 12, 2018We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Simmee Chung, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Education, has been awarded the 2017 Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation in Teacher Education Award through the Centre for Research for Teacher Education and Development and the Myer Horowitz Endowment Fund at the University of Alberta.
Her relational research alongside Indigenous youth and families is entitled, “A Narrative Inquiry into Aboriginal Youth and Families’ Experiences of Belonging as Interwoven with Identity Making.”
On April 24th, 2018, she will be giving a seminar presentation at the University of Alberta. As part of the Reconsidering Teacher Education Seminar Series, graduate students and teacher educators are invited to engage in conversation about possibilities for reforming Teacher Education for a diverse world.
