Dean of Arts search concluded!
Posted on: Mar 9, 2022The office of the Vice-President Academic & Provost is delighted to announce that, effective August 1, 2022 Dr. Brett Buchanan will be joining CUE as our new Dean of Arts.
Dr. Buchanan is a Visiting Scholar at Western University and until recently has held a position as a tenured full professor in the Department of Philosophy and the School of the Environment at Laurentian University. He holds a BA, Psychology from the U of A, a Masters of Arts degree from University of Western Ontario, and a Doctor of Philosophy from DePaul University in Chicago. He brings along with him a wide array of scholarly, administrative, and research experience.
Warm thanks go to everyone who participated in the process, whether serving on the search committee, attending the talks, taking part in the meet-and-greets, or offering feedback.
We all very much look forward to welcoming Dr. Brett Buchanan to our campus community in August.
