The CUE Research Cluster on Christian Philosophy & Theology has two major events coming up on Monday, November 14. One is a noon public lecture by one of Canada’s most eminent professors of psychiatry, the other a 5:00 p.m. book launch for Prof. Bill Anderson’s new edited anthology Technology & Theology.

Noon Lecture Title: Missing Goldilocks and Killing Kant: The Price of Canada’s Headlong Assisted Death Expansion

When: Monday, November 14 at noon

Where: AW125 (first floor of the Allan Wachowich building)

Speaker Bio: Dr. K. Sonu Gaind is Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto, Chief of Psychiatry at Humber River Hospital, and a past President of the Canadian Psychiatric Association. Dr. Gaind has been a prominent national leader in the dialogue surrounding assisted suicide and euthanasia since Canada began altering its legal framework in 2015.

Book Launch for Prof. Bill Anderson’s new edited anthology Technology & Theology

When: Monday, November 14 at 5:00 p.m.

Where: Magrath Campus (10 minute walk from main campus)

The event will feature brief talks by Prof. Anderson and some of the volume’s core contributors. Refreshments will be served.
