CUE participates in the UN Women Safe Cities and Safe Public Spaces Global Initiative

Concordia's Dr. Barb van Ingen has been invited to participate in the City of Edmonton's newly announced membership in the UN Women Safe Cities and Safe Public Spaces Global Initiative. The first step of the UN Women Initiative is a study to map sexual violence in the city. Information from this scoping study will contribute to the development of a comprehensive plan to address sexual violence in Edmonton and to identify priority areas for action.The group meets on November 3.
Congratulations to Dr. van Ingen. This invitation is in recognition of her strong work at Concordia in intiatives aimed at sexual violence reduction.
