Concordia in dialogue on indigenous strategies with State University of Alagoas, Brazil

Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) has participated in a Global Affairs Canada and Alberta Government organized visit of 19 presidents from state and municipal universities in Brazil in 2015. The delegation toured Canada and the meeting in Alberta took place at the University of Calgary with Alberta's PSI. Concordia's VP International and Research represented President Krispin at this meeting and made contact with the rector for the State University of Alagoas (UNEAL), northern Brazil, Prof. Jairo José Campos da Costa. UNEAL is leading the indigenous inclusion in Brazil and we are in dialogue with the rector in view of sharing experiences and best practices across cultures. UNEAL has graduated, in 2015, the first class of fully indigenous teachers for K-12. Here is an interview (in Portuguese) given by CUE VPIR to UNEAL about this interaction:
