Posted on: Feb 7, 2022

The 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics is here! Concordia University of Edmonton’s Concert Choir is honoured to have been invited to participate in the “2022 Sing for Winter Olympics” Music TV project to represent Canada.

The two videos were recently released:

The project was initiated by the Centre for Language Education and Cooperation in China and supported by the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics Organizing Committee. More than 300 youth from 27 countries in five continents participated in the project.

Concordia University of Edmonton’s Centre for Chinese Studies and the Concordia Concert Choir worked with the video producer, Sichuan Xinhua Lezhi Education Technology Co., Ltd., from September to December 2021.

“I am glad to see CUE students on a global stage to give out a warm message to the world on joint energy, friendship, and dreams for a shared future,” says Dr. Xinxin Fang, Director of the Office of Extension and Culture & Centre for Chinese Studies.

“At CUE, we always want to provide students with unique learning experiences and I am happy to see their passion, strength, and resilience throughout the project.”
