Boxedler Bugs on Campus

Being so close to the river valley we experience many positives such as the beautiful trails and scenery. We also experience some unwelcome guest such as the annual Boxelder Bugs coming up from the river valley. These bug are not harmful in anyway and will move along as winter approaches.
A little info about our yearly friends from the river valley.
Boxelder bugs are nuisance pests. They do not sting or transmit disease, and are generally not known to bite, though there are rare reports of defensive biting. Boxelder bugs are not known to cause damage to homes or significant damage to plants.
