An Evening of Poetry and Music at Concordia

Posted on: Sep 25, 2012

If you missed hearing Derek Walcott read last Saturday, you will have another opportunity to listen to some great creative work at Concordia this coming Saturday evening. Several poets and musicians from the Edmonton area, including some of Concordia’s very own faculty, will be reading and performing at what promises to be a most entertaining and enjoyable evening. The readings and music will make up one of several events this fall in “Synchronous: A Festival of Art and Life,” hosted by Concordia and the Public Foundation for Art and Life. One of the featured readers will be Edmonton’s former poet laureate, Alice Major. Everyone is welcome to attend this free event on 29 September at 7:00 in Concordia’s Tegler Centre.
